We actually did this a couple weeks ago. A special "surprise" date with my chicks at a local bakery. The reason - they have pink umbrellas to sit under (of course). Girl talk and chocolate quickly turned into an opportunity to teach thankfulness, manners, and kindness, but it was all good.... It was a beautiful day to sit outside and enjoy eachother. I am so blessed to have them in my life and I truly enjoy them. Getting out of the normal helps me to remember that.
