The one thing I insisted on doing on our visit was a visit to one of my favorite ice ream joints. A mom and pop place right up the road from my parents house. The best soft serve ever - in homemade waffle cones to boot.
Just the smell when up walk in the door is almost treat enough.
I have to say soft serve Ice cream just happens to be probably my favorite dessert.
I think this girl of mine may agree... Somehow she talked everyone in to sharing their cones even though she had one of her own.

She loved the waffle cone so much, I let her finish mine :-). Very fun pictures!!
We went to Abbot's in Charlotte tonight...pretty good eats there too!
